Last week we sat down with North Carolina artist Montana Band$ for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about life in Rocky Mount, there being an increase in violence in his city, moving around a lot as a kid, jumping off the porch, lessons he learned in the streets, being the class clown in school, not gang banging, just getting into making music one year ago, classifies his music as Trap N B, his debut tape ‘Chosen 1’, gives props to his engineer, his song “Bagg Talk” w/ BiggTyme, his creative process, plans to drop his next project this summer, balancing his life with making music, recently buying an ice cream truck, having a luxury renal business, his thoughts on the rap game, shares advice for the youth, the music scene in Rocky Mount, his label, and much more!
