We recently sat with Baltimore R&B artist Mornin Afta for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he discussed growing up in a tough environment in Baltimore, what it teaches you as a man, being arrested at 12 years old, his uncle taking him in and raising him, his grind as an R&B artist, teaching himself how to sing, rapping before pursing his career, getting a buzz throughout the city from attending college and being active in his school, learning to sing by listening to Lil Wayne,  making the best music while he’s cleaning up around the house, forming melodies before he enters the studio, being inspired by relationships as a form of art with his music, advice on how people can teach themselves how to sing, his 20 million dollar deal, taking the leap of faith and moving to Atlanta, his tape “Heartaches & 808s”, his track “Share My World”, working with different artists across the board, the importance of establishing relationships throughout the industry, and more!
