In this clip, OG Maco talked about how his armed robbery case was something he wanted to disassociate from while his label, Quality Control, thought it would provide him with a certain level of credibility. However, OG Maco explained why he didn’t want his rap persona to be defined by that episode in his past because he didn’t want to seem like a threat to other communities who could be potential fans. Later, OG Maco recounted being on probation for 7 years for the armed robbery case and how he’d come up with elaborate excuses to skip out on meeting with his probation officer to go perform.
