Play from the legendary Hip-Hop group Kid ‘N Play joined VladTV for an interview detailing life and career as one of rap’s early pioneers. In the first clip, he described growing up in New York and witnessing the birth of Hip-Hop. He credited Hip-Hop with being an escape from the city’s socio-economic struggles. He also talked about admiring the street hustlers of the time, including his own father. Play told stories of visited his father in prison and police raiding his home. He also admitted to being a stick-up kid during his youth. Check out the above clip to hear more.
