In this clip, Sammy The Bull talks about the FBI’s investigation into the Gambino family and a few members of John Gotti’s crew. Moving along, the former underboss recalls when the boss, Paul Castellano (aka Big Paulie), found out about a series of audio tapes (from Angelo Ruggiero Sr’s house) where a group of guys from John Gotti’s crew was talking about the Gambino crime family. To that, Sammy The Bull explains that the audio tapes became a big deal because Angelo Ruggiero Sr talks about drugs, all of the bosses, and all of the underbosses. This ultimately led the government to gain clearance to “bug” their property, which then snowballed into various mobsters and bosses getting arrested in the infamous “Mafia Commission Trial.” It also caused inner-fighting within the mob over who was at fault.
