Former underboss of the Gambino crime family, Sammy “The Bull” Gravano shares insights about his time after being released from prison in 1994 and his experiences in the witness protection program during an interview with Vlad. Despite initially being uninterested in the program due to having a significant amount of money and not wanting to change his name, Gravano joined at the insistence of the government – agreeing to a year’s commitment. He spent time in numerous locations, including Houston, Dallas, and Colorado. It was while residing in Colorado that a woman discovered his true identity, prompting a move by the marshals to relocate Gravano yet again. Instead of continuing within the program, Gravano chose to sign out and move to Arizona with his family, effectively ending his time in the witness protection program.
