In this clip, Shawn Prez asks Yung Joc to explain the current state of the Atlanta Hawks and why the franchise has always underachieved. The Atlanta native makes a very compelling argument that the reason why professional basketball hasn’t seen the same level of success that Black record labels such as So So Def and LaFace Records have is that they don’t have enough prominent African Americans in “decision-making” positions. He also attributes some of the loss to the “strip club” culture in Atlanta.
