Special Ed talked about his experiences of working on the beats for 2Pac’s “Strictly” album and its subsequent success. He also discussed the song they created together, “Open Fire,” which remained unreleased during Tupac’s lifetime. Ed emphasized that he was less interested in financial gain from their work, preferring to contribute to Tupac’s musical legacy. Additionally, Ed shared his surprise and pleasure at being given a role in the movie ‘Juice,’ thanks to Tupac’s intervention. He talked about this being an early example of incorporating popular artists into film for fan appeal. Ed also speculated that Tupac’s role in ‘Juice’ as a gangster could have influenced his persona but stressed that Tupac himself remained the same person he knew off-screen.
