In this clip, Teddy Riley looks back at the success of the “Dangerous” album that he produced for Michael Jackson before discussing the popularity of “Rump Shaker” by Wreckx-n-Effect; another record that he produced. The Grammy winner reveals that the lyrics were written by Pharrell and that he was sued for sampling the saxophone without clearing the music first. From there, he talks about making music with Blackstreet and the famous song that put them on the map, “Booty Call.” Before explaining where the concept for “Booty Call” originated, he talks about his friendship with Mike Tyson. Moving along, Riley talks about sampling Bill Withers for Blackstreet’s biggest hit, “No Diggity.” He also explains how he ended up singing the first verse on the track and how the song landed on the desk of Jimmy Lovine, which resulted in a feature from Dr. Dre.
