Actor Todd Bridges, best known for playing Willis Jackson on the classic TV show “Diff’rent Strokes,” was recently interviewed by Vlad. During the conversation, Bridges discussed how the show was unique for its time, tackling serious issues that other TV productions avoided. He also lamented how certain things said and done on television today would have resulted in cancellation back in his day. Born and raised in San Francisco, Bridges began his acting career early, with his first TV role on Barney Miller and movie roles alongside Henry Winkler and Sissy Spacek. He also fondly recalled meeting all the famous people he loved growing up, including Lena Horne, Elvis Presley, and Michael Jackson.
