Too Short starts this clip off with a message for rappers of the current generation, telling them that they too can achieve the longevity that he has attained for himself. Then the Bay Area rap veteran takes at the emcees in his age bracket by telling them to stop hating on the younger generation. As the discussion moves along, the 53-year-old shares his feelings on the current state of hip hop, before citing his appreciation for Spanish-speaking rappers and Latin hip hop as well. Towards the end of the clip, Too Short states that hip hop is “the new rock,” citing its’ global dominance in popularity.
