In this clip, Too Short reveals that he originally planned to retire back in the late 90’s because he completed his 10th album and he was 30-years-old, which was considered old back in those days. Moving along, the Oakland native attempts to make sense of why hip hop fans on the East Coast didn’t purchase his music back in his heyday before revealing details from a personal conversation with Biggie about the supporters that he had in the city of Brooklyn. As the discussion moves along, the 55-year-old rapper talked about his work with Jay-Z such as “A Week Ago” and “Real N****z.” Lastly, Too Short shares a story about how Scarface tried to put him up on some new tracks that had been produced by an unknown producer, at the time, named Kanye West. But regrettably, Too Short declined the offer, because he didn’t know who Ye was yet.
