In this clip, Unique Mecca Hall spoke to VladTV correspondent Cavario about getting in the streets when he was around 10, and he explained that it started with weed. Hall spoke about how things progressed by the time he was 11, and he added that his family members in the streets supported him. From there, Hall explained how he went from selling to using when he was robbing houses in New Jersey as a teenager. He explained that he saw his friend using it, and it looked like it wasn’t harming him, so Hall thought that it wasn’t an issue. Hall also spoke about watching some of the biggest stars at the time doing the same thing, including Michael Jackson and actor Burt Reynolds. Hall pointed out that Richard Pryor set himself on fire, putting that in the public eye, and he added that the “richest of the rich” was doing the same thing. From there, Hall detailed how the government cracked down on people, and he explained that he knew a friend that got life for a small amount. Hall also spoke about getting life himself, and he detailed how both he and his friend have since been released. Moving along, Hall was asked about becoming more violent as he was adapting to the streets, which he said was fueled by the crack epidemic at the time.
