Killer Gains Grandpa’s Trust Then Plots His Murder
In Albuquerque, 60-year-old grandfather Larry Norsworthy was found dead in his apartment in April 2023, initially ruled an unattended death before evidence of robbery and blunt force trauma led investigators to reclassify it as a homicide in 2024. Detectives uncovered that Jasmine Trujillo, whom Larry had taken in, and her boyfriend Jarrett Chacon allegedly plotted to beat and rob him after he changed his banking passwords, with Trujillo later admitting Chacon carried out the fatal attack. Trujillo ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner goes Inside the Crime.
