Killer Wife Stabs Spouse 30 Times — Then Gets Tied to Cold Case Murder
A woman named Joye Marie Pelzer stabbed Rosalyn Renee Lewis 30 times at a motel near Atlanta, leading to a high-speed police chase and a gunfight where officers had to shoot back; Lewis died, but managed to identify Pelzer as her attacker before passing. Pelzer, who had a history of violence and threats against Lewis, pleaded guilty to Lewis’s murder in 2021 and was later convicted in 2023 for the cold case murder of Shawndell McLeoud, which she and Lewis allegedly planned together years earlier.
