Las Vegas – Sin City
Our Trip to Las Vegas began in Zurich where we were told that our flights were cancalled. Unfortunately we had luck to get to a very kind guy from American Airlines who had control over the situation and brought us new tickets, 4 hours later. Better than no tickets, right?
So we started late in Zurich and we arrived late at McCarran International Airport of Las Vegas. With the taxi we drove to the Bellagio, put our baggage away and visited the first Fountain show which was sooo beautiful and enormous! It is probably the best and most popular attraction of whole Las Vegas.
The next day we walked and drove (with a small train over the city streets) over the Strip of Las Vegas which is the part of Vegas where all the action is and the famous hotels and casinos are. Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Paris, The Venetian, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Treasure Island,. Wynn Encore and the newest one the Cosmopolitan are the famous Hotel and Casino Buildings in Vegas.
Beside the famous Strip there’s also another attraction which one you shouldn’t miss: the Fremont Street. It is a street which is covered by huge rounded screens where some music and video shows take place. Also an aerial passenger line over the street is there, which is not expensive but the queues are very long.
If you’re very, very hungry and you want to eat really big burgers, check out the Heart Attack Grill which is the unhealthiest restaurant all over the world. It is also located in the Fremont Street.
To get the best view over whole Las Vegas, take the $15 ride to the top of the Stratosphere Tower (it’s also a hotel & casino). From the observation deck you have a fantastic view over the city.
For the brave ones there are several rollercoasters on the Stratosphere Tower.
All in all Las Vegas is so gigantic, you should visit it at least once in your lifetime.
