Lil Herb Says Larry Hoover and Jeff Fort Can’t Stop The Violence In Chiraq

Lil Herb doesn’t think Larry Hoover, the founder of the Gangster Disciples street gang, and Jeff Fort, the leader of the Black P. Stones, can end the violence in his hometown of Chicago.

Cody Mack took to Facebook to pose the question: If Larry & Malik had more contact to the outside world do you think they could help solve the crime in the black communities? Chicagoans what you think?

G Herbo posted Mack’s question onto his IG account with a thought provoking response in his caption:

“HELL THE FUCK NAW BET NOT NOBODY EVEN LIE AND ACT LIKE THEY COULD CUZ FIRST OF ALL NOBODY KNOW SH*T ABOUT THEM UNDER THE AGE OF 25 ILL SAY AND N*GGAS OVER 25 30 NOT ON SH*T IT’S A HANDFUL WHO FRONT LINE STILL”

Congressman Bobby Rush (D-IL 1st District) visited the Hoover and Fort at ADMAX prison in Florence, CO, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

“Right now, as I see it, they’re part of the solution, not part of the problem,” Rep. Bobby Rush told ABC 7.

Rush, also a reverend, was in full pastoral garb, when he spoke with Hoover and Fort about Tyshawn’s murder.

“They knew about it and they were appalled by it,” Rush said.

Multiple news outlets are reporting that Tyshawn was caught up in the violence between rival factions of the GDs and Stones.

Hoover and Fort, Rush said, issued a message of peace to the streets.

“Jeff/Malik and Larry said, ‘Use my name. Tell those youngsters to stop the killing,” Rush said.

Rush believes that Hoover and Fort could help curb the violence in the streets of Chicago if they were allow to communicated with the outside.

“They didn’t ask me to move mountains or to use any kind of clout to help them,” Rush said.

Rush was not allowed take photographs or make voice recordings during the visit.

“We cannot continue to allow our community to be wiped out,” Rush said.

Hoover and Malik could go weeks, months, or even years without human contact, according to Charles Thomas of ABC 7 Chicago.

Herb’s response is a total 360 from Durk who recently sat down with Darryl Robertson of Vibe Magazine to offer his thoughts on the violence in his hometown of Chicago.

Lil Durk believes Larry Hoover could bring about a positive change in the community if freed.

“People like him can change things,” Durk said.

When asked about the age gap between Hoover and young gang members, Durk replied the GD leader would have to be strategic about his approach.

“…It depends how they come. If they come sideways then yeah, they’ll get their head knocked off,” Durk explained. “But if they be like, ‘I ain’t trying to take over but I’ve done done what y’all trying to do so I’m just trying to give y’all game.”

Durk agreed with Robertson that Hoover is more powerful in the streets than in jail.

“People will still listen to the OGs of the game,” he said.

Larry Hoover was recently removed from 23 and 1 lockdown at the ADX Florence supermax prison in Florence, CO, Don Diva Magazine reports.

Hoover, 64, is credited as the founder of the Black Gangster Disciples. Hoover is serving six life sentences while Fort is serving 80 years at the penal institution.

Chicago artist GLC confirmed news of Hoover transfer after speaking with Hoover’s wife, his son Larry Hoover Jr. and best friend Wallace Gator Bradley.

GLC wrote in his caption, “[Hoover and Fort] eat together and have symposiums to lead reform and prosperity of youth x prison reform and economic/political control of our communities and to end genocide amongst our own.”

He added, “Larry Hoover said it feels good to be shackle free for the first time since 1997.”
