Maino admitted he hadn’t been closely following the case but understood the gravity of the charges. Prosecutors allege that in November 2021, Rocky pulled a gun during an argument and fired at his acquaintance, a claim supported by apparent surveillance footage. Offered a plea deal for pleading guilty to assault, Rocky could serve six months in jail, receive three years probation, and a seven-year suspended sentence. Maino expressed that if he were in Rocky’s position and was guilty, he would accept the deal. He reasoned that serving potentially four months in jail, considering good behavior, is better than risking a lengthy sentence. Despite this, ASAP Rocky has declined the plea, arguing a defense of possessing a prop rather than a real gun.
