Man Poisons Disabled Wife to Sleep with His Stepdaughter
In 2022, 51-year-old Lisa Bishop, who used a wheelchair and relied on her husband for care, began suffering mysterious symptoms, chronic drowsiness, debilitating headaches, and repeated hospital stays. After discovering white powder at the bottom of her drink and believing something was wrong, Lisa took the substance to police and reported she thought her husband was trying to poison her. Investigators arrested 69-year-old Alfred Ruff in Richmond, Indiana, and during questioning, Ruff made shocking statements claiming he had been giving Lisa an unknown substance for months at the urging of others and that its long-term use was meant to eventually kill her.
