Former Baltimore police officer Momodu Gondo discussed his complex past involving childhood friendship with members of the Shropshire narcotics crew and his controversial role in a robbery against a rival dealer. Gondo admitted he grew up with Shropshire affiliates, who recruited him to help place a GPS tracker on the rival’s vehicle. The robbery escalated unexpectedly when the target’s girlfriend was present, resulting in threats detailed in court documents. Gondo downplayed direct involvement but acknowledged his part in “quarterbacking” the scheme. Despite this, he stated he never faced retaliation from street figures and expressed a hardened attitude after surviving being shot in the line of duty.
