Ab-Soul Threw Shots at Jay Electronica on His New Album and Twitter Lost It

Ab-Soul is back at slamming Jay Electronica in the opening track of his new album, Do What Thou Wilt.

On “RAW (backwards),” the TDE rapper spits some familiar bars aimed at Jay. “I was like a swami of Jay Electronica until he/Figured Dizzle wouldn’t admit that he would body him for a milli/I told Kenny keep quiet, I’ma get him,” he raps. “We don’t need dirt on your hands getting the key to the city ya feel me/Hurts when your OG, who is supposed to be a G-O-D/Is standing next to King Kunta feeling like Toby/Moos what I gotta do boy?/I’m just waiting on your cue to take him to school boy!”

The lyrics probably sound familiar to most because Ab actually sent the same message to Jay back at his STEEZ Day Festival performance this past summer. The whole thing began after Jay shared some choice words about Kendrick Lamar saying, “Kendrick is my son, Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me.” The Roc Nation rapper later apologized and asked K. Dot and TDE to “forgive [his] past transgressions,” in a tweet that has actually since been deleted. It seems that must’ve not been enough for Ab as he clearly confirms he’s got Kenny’s back.

Ab-Soul’s new album, Do What Thou Wilt. featuring from ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Mac Miller, Rapsody, Dash, Bas, and more is out now so listen right here.
