An Arrest Warrant for Chief Keef Has Been Issued in Miami
According to TMZ, there’s a warrant out for the arrest of Chief Keef. The order from the judge was issued immediately after the 21-year-old rapper failed to show up to his Tuesday arraignment on charges of DUI and weed possession.
He had been arrested less than a month ago, after an alleged weed transfer went down in full view of the police. Authorities said the rapper had bloodshot eyes and a dry mouth as he was being arrested.
“Police put handcuffs on the hip-hop star after Chief Keef’s friend in the passenger seat, allegedly hopped out of the bright green vehicle and started talking to people in another car,” said Cheyenne Roundtree, in a report for the Daily Mail. “Miami Beach officials saw the interaction and believed it was a drug transaction and detained five people for questioning. The rapper has not been officially booked or charged yet.”
Keef was released on bond shortly after his arrest.
Back in January, the Chicago rapper was arrested on assault and robbery charges, after he allegedly broke into the home of his former producer Ramsay tha Great. Keef posted $500,000 bail in the case.
The rapper and his team have yet to comment on the Miami warrant.
