August Alsina Tells Trey Songz via Instagram He’ll ‘Still Gladly Beat His Goofy A**’

Trey Songz has found himself entangled in a few digital disagreements in recent months, and the trend looks to continue thanks to some remarks from his collaborator-turned-agitator, August Alsina. Friday, Songz revisited what was believed to be a since-squashed beef with Alsina during a visit to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.

“Y’all remember August was talking crazy a couple years ago, and I ain’t wanna fight,” Songz told Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee. “I don’t want to fight. I want to get some money. It’s other people that wanted to fight me that I ain’t even address. I don’t wanna fight nobody. That don’t prove nothin’.”

Any lingering issues were assumed to be resolved at the 2014 BET Awards when Alsina, Trey Songz and Chris Brown collectively performed “I Luv Dis Sh**.” However, Alsina seemed anything but amicable when taking to Instagram to respond to Trey’s Breakfast Club remarks.

“When niggas mention yo name in a interview talking ’bout catching fades but you already offered several fades years ago and will STILL gladly beat his goofy ass & then be cool later,” Alsina wrote in an Instagram caption Friday, while tagging both Trey Songz and The Breakfast Club. “Stretch before you reach next time nigxa! And don’t mention my name. (Back to the Real World, where real problems exist.)”

The threat from Alsina came on the heels of Trey Songz getting caught up in the Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma beef and also being accused of using “sexual intimidation” to film Keke Palmer without her consent for the “Pick up the Phone” video.

Songz sidestepped the beef with an Instagram post that didn’t mention Alsina, but was posted several hours after Alsina’s initial threats went public.

“I done told y’all people you can’t have my joy!” Songz wrote. “Don’t take yourself so serious, cause I don’t. God got me.”
