Boosie Badazz Will Make His Feature Film Debut in Boxing Movie ‘Glass Jaw’
The artist formerly known as Lil’ Boosie has come a long way since being released from jail in early 2014, and Boosie Badazz can add another title next to his name on a resumé: movie star.
The upcoming boxing movie Glass Jaw has a feature role carved out for Boosie, according to Variety, and the New Orleans native will get to show off his acting chops on the silver screen. Boosie is earmarked to play an underground fight club operator and boxing bettor “with street smarts,” which sounds like the perfect role for the guy.
If recent news is any indication, Boosie is working hard to get his film credentials up to snuff. A biopic about his life titled BOOSIE the Movie was teased early in 2017, and he’s been a part of several straight-to-bootleg movies in the past, most prominently as a drug dealer named Marcus Hatch in Ghetto Stories: The Movie in 2010.
Boosie won’t be asked to carry the film, as the lead role will go to model-turned-actor Leo Kholafai. Producer Steve Perry — a veteran of classic action movies like Rocky, Lethal Weapon 2 and cult classic True Romance — is one of a few leaders at the helm of the project, which should leave Boosie in capable hands for his big debut. Glass Jaw does not currently have a release date.
As long as Boosie still finds time to drop more holiday-themed mixtapes and film videos of him learning how to snowboard, we’re on board with him following his acting dream.
