Buddy Announces Kaytranada-Produced EP, Shares “Find Me”

Last fall, Compton rapper Buddy shared his feel-good single “Shine.” Now that summer is just around the corner, his previous single sounds even brighter than before and continues be a great pick-me-up. The young artist is now gearing up to deliver more music for listeners to soundtrack their summer with.

This week, Buddy announced that his forthcoming Ocean & Montana EP will be released on May 19 via Cool LIL Company, and it’s entirely produced by Kaytranada. Following the exciting news, Buddy shared “Find Me”—the first single from his forthcoming EP. The tracks finds Buddy reflecting over what he’s learned in the past few years as he’s worked on finding himself, and the knowledge he wished he had earlier in life.

Placed over Kaytranada’s shimmery production, “Find Me” takes a familiar subject for many young adults—feeling alone and lost as you search for the path that brings you joy—and lifts what could have been a rather melancholy song into a single that feels like a motivating push instead.
