Calvin Harris Shares Behind-the-Scenes Video of Creating Frank Ocean Collab “Slide”
If I had to predict an early contender for song of the summer, it would either be one of Drake’s dancehall-inspired cuts off More Life, or Calvin Harris’ “Slide.” The latter record featuring Frank Ocean and Migos‘ Quavo and Offset has already cracked the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and will inevitably rise as the days get warmer.
Aside from teasing the track before it came out and celebrating its release, Harris has been relatively quiet on how it was made. Over the weekend, he decided to finally give fans a behind-the-scenes look by sharing a two-minute clip featuring him in the studio laying down the infectious piano melody, adding the funky bass line, and working in Frank’s incredible vocals.
Watching this clip makes us wonder if he also has video of the studio sessions with Frank and two-thirds of Migos. Calvin, if you’re reading this: drop those for the culture. For now, check out the video above and grab “Slide” on iTunes.
