Camila Cabello Has Officially Left Fifth Harmony and the Internet Is Freaking Out

Camila Cabello has officially left Fifth Harmony. The announcement came from the group’s social media account only a few hours after after Fifth Harmony’s last iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball Tour performance Sunday night at Florida’s BB&T Center.

“After four and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well,” the remaining members of Fifth Harmony wrote in an Instagram post Sunday.​


Rumors of a breakup have been plaguing the group for a while, but they have consistently denied the rumblings. Camila’s last Instagram did feature a picture of her solo with the caption, “I’ll only have you if you’re sweeter than my solitude.” On Monday, she jumped on Twitter to explain the news to fans in her own words. She said she is “so proud” of everything the group achieved together, but also took issue with the group’s announcement of her leaving. “The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true.” You can read her full statement below.

We’re sure she is going to be just fine considering she’s already been releasing tracks with Machine Gun Kelly and Shawn Mendes. Of course, Twitter is now sounding off on the news so let the Zayn comparisons begin.
