Camila Cabello’s New Single “I Have Questions” Is Here
Just days after releasing her first solo single, “Crying in the Club,” former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello dropped her follow up, “I Have Questions.” Those familiar with the aforementioned “Crying in the Club” likely heard this song teased in that track’s video.
Cabello will perform the song after the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday as part of an exclusive for Xfinity On Demand.
As part of her promotional build up to her solo debut album, The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving, Cabello revealed via Instagram that “I Have Questions” was penned in a hotel bathroom in 2016.
“I was completely broken during that time,” Cabello wrote of the time that inspired her latest offering. “I was in the kind of pain that’s uncomfortable to talk about, and it was the kind of chapter you never want to read out loud…. I couldn’t write another song for 6 months because writing meant I had to feel everything, and I wasn’t ready to do that yet. So when I graduated from hotel bathrooms to studios to make my first album, I was making music about everything but what I was going through, it was like a secret burning on my tongue and for some reason I could not get myself to say it.”
Cabello may be primed for a commercially successful summer, given that the Recording Industry Association of America has already certified her “Bad Things” duet with Machine Gun Kelly as double platinum. Cabello is also expected to appear on an upcoming Major Lazer single entitled “Know No Better” with Travis Scott and Quavo of Migos.
The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving is slated for a September release. You can find “I Have Questions” on Apple Music and iTunes, or stream it below via Spotify.
