Cashmere Cat Grabs Starrah, 2 Chainz, and Tory Lanez for “Throw Myself a Party”
Cashmere Cat has blessed us with a new track today and this time he has teamed up with Starrah, 2 Chainz, and Tory Lanez.
“Throw Myself a Party” finds the Norweigan producer leaning into the year-end spirit to unhinge a New Year’s heater where ’80s inspired keys meets some molten R&B beats. The whole thing even comes complete with a snowy GIF of the artwork he has shared for previous tracks.
We actually got a first version of the song back in October, but that take did not feature Starrah. This time around, Starrah handles the inebriating feel-good hook singing, “I just wanna get drunk and throw myself a party/I’ve been juuging for some months, time to throw myself a party.” All three guest features, Starrah, Chainz, and Tory Lanez, show up to drop their own verse over the beat.
The release falls in line with Cashmere’s steady string of releases lately including some pretty big collaborations. There was The Weeknd and Francis and the Lights-assisted “Wild Love,” which is the title track of his forthcoming project. Cashmere also linked up with Tory Lanez and Selena Gomez on “Trust Nobody.”
It’s got to only be a matter of time before Cashmere Cat unleashes his Wild Love album in its entirety. For now, start turning up to “Throw Myself a Party” above because 2017, and hopefully more Cashmere Cat, is coming.
