Chance the Rapper Is Having a Birthday Party for Charity and You Can Go if You Want
On Wednesday morning you were given a very special invitation, though you may not have known it, when Chance the Rapper sent out the tweet/flyer below inviting you (of all people) to his 24th birthday party. Here’s the catch: tickets will run you from $100 (general admission) to $2,500 (premium VIP table seating). That might seem unorthodox, but we’ll explain:
Now you may be asking yourself, why do I have to buy a ticket to someone’s birthday party? Just what kind of friend makes you do that, huh? WTF MAN?!
But the reason shouldn’t work you up like that. It’s actually because all the proceeds will go to Chance’s charity Social Works.
As we said, the party is open to everyone, and will take place at 9 p.m. at Studio Paris nightclub in Chicago. So, uh, it would help to be in Chicago if you want to attend. “Special guests” are also promised to be there.
The open invite comes in contrast to Chance’s Magnificent Coloring World 2 event, which extended a pretty damned exclusive invitation to just his top .001 percent of fans from his SoundCloud listening base. Though maybe you can catch that on Netflix some day.
Anyway, you got four days to not miss out on this b-day. Get your tickets here.
