Chance the Rapper Tweets in Support of Brother Taylor Bennett

On Wednesday afternoon, Chicago rapper Taylor Bennett came out as bisexual in a series of personal tweets. “Growing up I’ve always felt indifferent about my sexuality & being attracted 2 one sex & today I would like to openly come out to my fans,” he wrote. “I do recognize myself as a bisexual male & do & have always openly supported the gay community & will keep doing so in 2017. #ThankYou.”

The moment was as inspiring as it was powerful, with many showing their support for Bennett, who celebrates his 21st birthday today.

That included his older brother, Chance the Rapper, who tweeted out a video and message that truly represents brotherly love. The clip features Chance, his daughter, Taylor, and their father celebrating Taylor’s 21st with a cake. “This my family right here,” Chance says. “I will kill somebody over these people. Don’t play with me.”

“Love this man right here, through any and all,” Chance added in the tweet. “He has grown into a great man. He’s got God and me behind him, he cannot fail he cannot fall.”

It’s clear Chance has his brother’s back, whether it be on a personal level or on the music tip. The two have collaborated in the past (“Broad Shoulders”), and this can only bring them closer in life and in the booth.

Those in the Chicago area can celebrate Taylor’s birthday with the man himself tonight at Studio Paris.
