Check Out The-Dream’s New EP ‘Love You to Death’
In late November, The-Dream revealed that his new EP Love You to Death was on its way soon. Now, it’s finally available. The seven-track project does not have any features. The singer posted the track list a few days ago, explaining that his song “Rih-flex” is an ode to Rihanna.
Love You to Death is the first new material from The-Dream since he dropped his Genesis short film at the top of 2016. That’s not to say he’s been taking a break: he also contributed behind the scenes to albums like Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo and Beyoncé’s Lemonade and collaborated with artists like SBTRKT, Solange, and Tinashe.
The-Dream has a full-length album on the way, which will be the official follow-up to his 2014 album IV Play. “I’m finished with a new album. There’s an incredible song that me and Rick Ross did on the album. I think people are going to love it. I may put out a new EP before that but the new album will be slated at the top of [next] year,” he said in an interview with Billboard in September. Luckily, we now have the EP to hold us over until the new album drops.
