Desiigner, Lil Yachty, & Noname Lead Forbes’ 2017 Cash Princes List
Desiigner, Lil Yachty, and Noname all make appearances in Forbes’ just-released 2017 list of “Cash Princes.” The annual roster is meant as an “accounting of the acts most likely to ascent to Cash Kings status” in the future, as determined by Kendrick Lamar manager Dave Free and other notable judges.
“It’s just me doing me,” Desiigner told Forbes Wednesday. “Trap is a new fashion of art.” The G.O.O.D. Music member’s average gross, according to Pollstar, has jumped from $20,000 to $50,000 following the success of the “Panda” single. “Definitely the respect level got more serious, more intense,” Desiigner said.
In order to be eligible for Cash Prince status, an artist has to meet a few qualifications. “All artists on the list must be primarily classified as hip-hop/rap, must be under the age of 30, and must not have appeared on the Cash Princes or Cash Kings list previously,” Forbes explained. Desiigner is also joined on this year’s list by Young M.A., Bryson Tiller, and Tory Lanez. Peep it in full below:
