Drake Brings Out Playboi Carti and Migos at Adult Swim’s Annual Upfront Party

The annual Adult Swim Upfront party was held at Terminal 5 in New York City on Wednesday night, and as usual, Adult Swim went all out when it came to providing a memorable musical performance for those in attendance. In the past, Adult Swim has booked acts like Jay Z, Kanye West, Outkast, Nicki Minaj, and Miley Cyrus for their parties. And this year, they invited Drake to be the headliner for the show.
Drake ran through a string of hits throughout his portion of the performance. From older songs like “Headlines” to newer tracks like “Free Smoke,” Drake didn’t disappoint.
But Drake also didn’t come alone. To make his performance even more memorable than it would have been otherwise, he invited special guest Playboi Carti to take the stage. Carti performed his hit song, “woke up like this*.”
And the surprises didn’t stop there. Drake also brought out Migos at one point so that they could perform their two most recent hits, “Bad and Boujee” and “T-Shirt.” The atmosphere at Terminal 5 was electric as the group performed.
This was actually the second time Drake and Migos have been on the same stage over the last month. While they didn’t perform at the same time, Drake and Migos both made appearances at Coachella in April during Future’s set.
Drake, Playboi Carti, and Migos are all celebrating recent releases. Migos released their second studio album, Culture, back in January. Drake dropped his More Life playlist in March. And Carti just hit us with his self-titled debut in April.
