Drake Brought The Weeknd On Stage to Perform While Touring in Germany
The Weeknd’s ties to Drake date back to the early days of his career. A blog post on OVO’s website way back in 2010 introduced the previously unknown singer to a much bigger audience, and Drake himself directed people toward his fellow Canadian after the acclaimed mixtape House of Balloons dropped in 2011.
Their relationship has been much more ambiguous ever since, with the two trading both subliminal shots and features as their profiles have grown exponentially. But with footage emerging of The Weeknd making an appearance on Saturday at Drake’s tour in Germany, maybe things are trending in a positive direction.
Drake and The Weekend even embraced on stage following the latter’s performance:
This isn’t the only recent public appearance together for the Canadian music stars. Drake made a cameo alongside A$AP Rocky, YG, French Montana and more in the video The Weeknd dropped for “Reminder” last week.
While the two have never necessarily been enemies, they’re now both big enough to be considered competitors in the music scene. That dynamic has provoked shots fired from both parties, even as they continued to collaborate on projects.

Could this mean bigger things are coming down the line? You’ll have to wait and see.
