Gucci Mane Announces ‘DropTopWizop’ Album
Does Gucci Mane ever sleep?
Less than a day after he was released from prison last year, the Atlanta rapper dropped a Mike WiLL Made-It-assisted track called “First Day Out tha Feds.” And it seems like he hasn’t stopped working since. For the remainder of 2016, Gucci delivered a slew of singles as well as full-length projects, including his Woptober mixtape, the 1017 vs. The World EP with Lil Uzi Vert, Free Bricks 2K16 with Future, and his Everybody Looking and The Return of East Atlanta Santa albums. It was a busy year, no doubt, but it looks like Guwop isn’t about to take a breather.
On Tuesday, the 36-year-old rapper announced the title of his next studio album—it’s called DropTopWizop.
The name is possibly a reference to Migos’ wildly popular “Bad and Boujee” track, which features the often-cited line “Raindrop, drop top/Smokin’ on cookie in the hotbox.”
Gucci didn’t reveal any more details about DropTopWiztop, including its expected release date, but it’s likely we’ll see production by his frequent collaborators Mike WiLL Made-It, Zaytoven, and Metro Boomin.
Stay tuned as more information about the project comes through.
