Guy Rapping About Giving His Cat a Bath Will Fulfill Your Cat Rap Needs for 2016
Moshow, whose real name is Dwayne Molock, is a Portland, Oregon-based rapper who spits bars all about his cats. The latest video sees him and his cat, Ravioli, getting clean in the tub. He gently washes Ravioli off as he spits, “Rub-a-dub-dub/Gotta get, gotta get my cat a scrub/Ravioli, acting like they know me” before dropping some lines about adopting cats and shouts out cat people. It seems like little Ravioli might not be enjoying the bath as much as Moshow because he jumps on the rapper’s hat at one point, but the whole thing is pretty much as cute as it gets.
One look at Moshow’s page and you’ll see he has plenty of cat-inspired raps for the people. There’s one encouraging people to adopt a cat, a Cat Lady Wednesday drop, a rap about catnip, and of course a rap called “Cat Power.”
It seems it wasn’t until college when Moshow found his love of cats through his now-girlfriend. “I grew up in the projects, so I was rapping gangster stuff and pretending a life that I didn’t really live,” he previously told the Willamette Week newspaper, according to The Huffington Post. He eventually stopped rapping because he “didn’t feel comfortable rapping about things I didn’t do.”
We are a little partial to the Cat in the Bath rap, but others might find it harder to pick a favorite. Watch Moshow bath rap above (h/t Uproxx) and check out the rest of his videos on his YouTube page here.
