Ice-T and T.I. Perform “O.G. Original Gangster” and “Bring Em Out” Together on ‘Kimmel’
Mondays are shit, so it’s really nice of Jimmy Kimmel to spend the worst day of the week spreading ephemeral joy with his #MashupMonday collabs. This week, Kimmel got Ice-T and T.I. together to form the aptly named Ice-T.I. The temporary duo mashed up two classics from their respective back catalogs with some help from a live band and a seemingly comfy chair.
From Ice-T’s discography, we got the title track to his 1991 album O.G. Original Gangster. The 24-track album peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 upon its release and was met with a largely positive critical response. The performance mashed up “O.G. Original Gangster” with T.I.’s classic 2004 single “Bring Em Out,” produced by Swiss Beatz.

T.I. last made headlines with his defense of Snoop Dogg‘s appearance in BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender” video. After the former Apprentice host currently in the White House accused Snoop of being in the middle of a “failing career” in response to the video’s depiction of a Trump-like clown being met with a gag gun, T.I. minced approximately zero words with his response:

In a post that quickly went viral and whatnot, T.I. reminded Trump of Snoop’s “fuckin’ legend” status. Additionally, T.I. referred to Trump as a “fucking tangerine tanned muskrat scrotum skin, lacefront possum fur wig wearing, alternative fact, atomic dog diarrhea face ass man [sic].” Trump, T.I. added, should stick to “dividing minorities, building barriers, alienating immigrants, and fuckin’ this country up.”
