J. Cole Goes Back-to-Back Platinum With No Features and the Memes Are Rolling In
J. Cole‘s 4 Your Eyez Only has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album, released in December 2016, notably boasts zero features. Dreamville President Ibrahim Hamad celebrated the achievement in a tweet Friday, congratulating J. Cole and the album’s producers on their latest honor:
4 Your Eyez Only previously reached RIAA gold status (500,000 copies) back in January. With 4 Your Eyez Only‘s platinum certification, J. Cole now has four platinum albums to his name; 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Born Sinner, and Cole World: The Sideline Story have also been certified by the RIAA.
As teased in a new trailer in March, J. Cole will premiere his new HBO documentary next week. J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, Cole’s second HBO special, is described by the network as a “multi-narrative show” combining live performances and intimate interviews. The doc hits HBO Now, HBO Go, and related platforms April 15.
In the meantime, Cole fans will be celebrating, and the “platinum with no features” memes are also coming in:
