J. Holiday Comments on Kanye West Using The-Dream’s Version of “Bed” During Fashion Show

Kanye West is always one for surprises and that didn’t change during his Yeezy Season 5 fashion show in New York City on Wednesday afternoon. While ‘Ye didn’t debut a new album like last year, there was, of course, music involved.

And here’s where the surprise came in: as the models walked the runway, The-Dream’s demo version of J. Holiday’s 2007 hit song “Bed” was playing as the official soundtrack. Many wondered why Kanye picked Dream’s version of the song instead of Holiday’s, but no clear answer was given.

When reached out to for comment by Complex, J. Holiday gave the following response: “I wonder how the playing of The Dream’s version of ‘Bed’ happened, and not mine, the original version that was released. But I am appreciative to Kanye for the look none the less. I know how much the Kardashian family has supported me and my music and I am also appreciative of them as well.”

So yes, J. Holiday is also wondering how Kanye came up with his decision. Nevertheless, Holiday still showed love to ‘Ye and the Kardashian family. You can check out highlights from the fashion show here
