John Mayer Releases ‘Wave Two’ of His New Album ‘The Search for Everything’
On Thursday night, John Mayer continued the gradual release of his new album, The Search for Everything, by dropping Wave Two. Mayer is releasing the album in four-song collections. He released Wave 1 on Jan. 20.
The reason for the staggered release? “There were too many songs to ever get out the door at once,” Mayer wrote in a Facebook post.
The Search For Everything – Wave Two comes out TONIGHT. I’m truly “releasing” these songs and it’s a beautiful feeling. ????

In other Mayer news, the singer said on Periscope that Frank Ocean’s new music sounds like “space reggae.”
“I won’t say the title of [the song], it’s his business, but he’s doing stuff right now that’s so…talk about space reggae, future reggae, that’s Frank Ocean,” Mayer said.
