KAMAU Sings Over Handclaps On Stripped Down New Song “On The Good Good”

KAMAU calls his latest offeringa song about the seductive process of chewing mangos with Martha Stewart.”

I just listened four times in a row and I’m still not totally sure if that’s a joke or not (I hope it isn’t) but it got me to listen—and I’m glad I did. Having impressed us in the past with live-looping performances and elaborate arrangements, he proves he can also do a lot with a little on the simplistic, short-but-sweet “On The Good Good.”

Over nothing but handclaps and his own vocals, KAMAU’s unique vocals shine on the loose track, which he refers to as “sexay sketch” to hold us over until his next project—”coming sooner than the soon things.”

Listen below and come see him perform at our SXSW No Ceilings show in Austin this Saturday.
