Kanye West Launches First Yeezy Jewelry Collection
Kanye West has launched his first jewelry collection. The line, a collaboration between Yeezy and Jacob & Company’s Jacob Arabo (a.k.a. Jacob the Jeweler), includes 12 pieces inspired by 14th century Florentine art. Kim Kardashian, Vogue noted, has been modeling pieces from the collection for months. West also previewed his collection in an interview with Vogue back in September.
In a brief statement to Vogue Friday, West explained the intended timelessness of his inaugural jewelry collection. “I wanted to create something that represented timeless love,” he said. The prices speak to the pieces’ quality, meaning they’re expensive:

According to E! News, Kardashian had duplicates of the entire collection made following their debut during Yeezy Season 4 last year. “This design by Kanye and Jacob debuted on Kim’s social media and during the Yeezy Season 4 fashion show last year,” a Jacob rep said Friday.
In addition to wearing selected pieces from the collection while shooting Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she also modeled Yeezy x Jacob jewelry at the 2016 MTV VMAs and during Paris Fashion Week. In fact, E! News added, “some of the pieces from the collection” were reported stolen following last year’s armed robbery at Kardashian’s Paris apartment.
