Kanye West’s Calabasas Collection Is Finally Here
Kanye West‘s Calabasas Collection has arrived. The collection was expected to be made available for purchase earlier Tuesday via YeezySupply.com, according to a report from Surface. A tweet posted Tuesday said the collection was set to drop in four minutes. Approximately four minutes later, no such drop had occurred:
ASAP Nast styled a few of the collection’s pieces for a Daniel Regan-captured shoot co-starring model Ganna Bogdan. A Calabasas zine, which will be distributed to customers upon purchase, was art-directed by West’s The Life of Pablo merch collaborator Cali Thornhill DeWitt.
These photos don’t mark the first time we’ve seen glimpses of the Calabasas collection. West inserted a few Calabasas pieces into his Yeezy Season 5 show at New York Fashion Week last month, including the vermilion and orange track pants. Kim Kardashian has also been spotted as recently as last week wearing what appeared to be Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase shoes:
Speaking out about his Pablo success to Vogue last May, DeWitt—an artist based in Los Angeles—explained his initial hesitance to reveal his involvement. “I didn’t come out and say that I did it,” DeWitt said. “I didn’t come out and say that I didn’t do it. But everyone who hit me up for interviews, I just told them, ‘No, thanks.’ Because to me, it’s a symptom of the times: People wanna be known so much, you know?”
At the time of publication, the YeezySupply.com site had finally been updated to include purchase links for Calabasas pieces. Prices range from $25 for socks to $200 for the crewneck. The Powerphase shoe was listed as “not available.”
