Listen to the First Single From Dev Hynes’ New Group VeilHymn

Devonté Hynes​ and Bryndon Cook (touring guitarist for Solange, Chairlift, more) are longtime friends and collaborators. Cook has toured with Hynes and appeared on his most recent Blood Orange album, Freetown Sound, and now they’ve started a group together as VeilHymn.

A lush, slow-building track, their first single “Hymn” features lead vocals from Cook as Hynes takes the lead on production. Previous collaborations between the two include a cover of Lemonade’s “Neptune” in which Cook rapped over a hypnotizing beat from Hynes—but they lean in the melodic end of the spectrum on this one.
