Mariah Carey Revists Her “Joy to the World” Holiday Track
Mariah Carey has pretty much solidified herself as a Yuletide icon. Since the release of her 1994 holiday album, Merry Christmas, the legendary singer has been widely referred to as the queen of the holiday. And it’s easy to see why. The album’s lead single, “All I Want for Christmas,” is the highest-selling holiday song of all time, racking in a whopping 3.2 million downloads to date. It’s a great song, for sure; however, this season, Mariah decided to show love to some of the album’s other tracks.
After releasing a video for “Silent Night,” the singer presented her fans with a “Joy to the World” visual. We see Mariah belt out the classic with a piano player, Christmas trees, and a full choir in the background. If this doesn’t get you into the holiday spirit, we don’t know what will. You can check out the “Joy to the World” video above.
The “Silent Night” and “Here Comes Santa Claus” visuals can be viewed on Mariah’s newly launched called Mariah’s World.
And if you find yourself wanting more of Mimi this holiday season, you can watch her new Keys of Christmas movie special, co-starring DJ Khaled, exclusively on YouTube Red. Or just go to her Instagram page and check out her festive photos like the one below.
