Master P Talks Working on ‘Carter V,’ Wanting to Coach in the NBA, His Acting Career, and Much More
Master P is a busy man. The No Limit captain is a legend in the rap game and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. P dropped by the Complex offices on Monday to talk about everything he has going on, and introduce the world to his artist Marqus Clae. During the extensive conversation, which you can watch above, P talked about his time in the game and how he still plans to put out a mixtape dedicated to C-Murder and Kevin Gates while both are locked up.
As far as new music, P revealed that he actually recorded a verse for Lil Wayne’s Carter V album, but didn’t have any sort of idea when it’s supposed to come out. Staying diplomatic, Master P also said he hoped Birdman and Wayne could work out their issues so the world could hear the music. While we won’t immediately have this collaboration, Wayne and Master P do have a show coming up together in New Orleans for NBA All-Star weekend.
That plans to be a busy weekend for P, as he is also participating in the annual celebrity game with his son Romeo Miller. Of course, P has a long history in the NBA and even wants to become a coach at some point. Whether that happens remains to be seen.
Aside for his music, Master P is still heavily involved in film and has a new movie in production where he plays a dirty cop. In the above conversation, P shared a hilarious story about his time shooting Gone in Sixty Seconds, where he said filming had to be stopped because he punched Nicolas Cage after Cage refused to use a stunt double. This was just one of the gems that Master P shared throughout the interview, which you can watch in full above.
