This counts as Migos’ first ever No. 1 song; their previous high was “Fight Night,” which reached No. 69 and earned the ATL trio a gold plaque. Lil Uzi Vert, who is featured on the track, can count “Bad and Boujee” as his first No. 1 song as well. Same for producer Metro Boomin. What a way to ring in the New Year from all involved.
The song catapulted to No. 2 last week thanks to viral memes; click here if you missed them. Donald Glover’s shout-out at the Golden Globes was a major moment for the song as well, with streaming of the song rising 243 percent this morning compared to last week thanks to the mention. Video of Glover getting down to the song at an after-party last night also hit the internet following his big night. Can you blame him?
Shortly after their milestone was announced, Migos hit up Twitter to thank their fans for the support. And they also made sure to show some love to Glover.
According to Billboard, the numbers for Glover’s shout-out could keep “Bad and Boujee” in the top spot next week.
Other notable numbers for “Bad and Boujee”: No. 1 on Streaming Songs (35.3 million), No. 2 on Digital Song Sales (76,000), No. 1 on On-Demand Streaming Songs (15.9 million), as well as No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
“Bad and Boujee” is featured on Migos’ upcoming album Culture, which is due out Jan. 27 on Quality Control/300.
