Nas and Madlib Collide on ‘Nasimoto’ Mash-Up

Every now and then, the internet will introduce us to yet another unexpected but masterful mash-up record. The latest brings Nas and Madlib together for a project cleverly titled Nasimoto. 

This new mash-up is the brainchild of Portsmouth, New Hampshire producer D. Begun. For the 21-track project, D. Begun isolated vocals from various classic Nas tracks and layered them over Madlib’s Quasimoto productions for an irresistibly smooth mash-up album.

Many of the tracks feel like the perfect fit as Nas already has a habit of rhyming over beats with this same soulful rhythm. The result of Nasimoto brings a new perspective to already familiar music, making it feel fresh again.
