Rae Sremmurd Debuts a New Track With Kendrick Lamar and Gucci Mane
A Rae Sremmurd collaboration with Gucci Mane and Kendrick Lamar? Yes, please.
About a week after Swae Lee announced the joint record, he and Slim Jimmy premiered the track during a performance in Europe last week. A video taken at the concert shows Jimmy turning to the DJ and yelling, “Drop that new record. Drop that Gucci Mane, Kendrick […],” before he asks the crowd, “Hey, Prague, can we drop one more new Rae Sremmurd song?”
The relaxed track begins with Swae singing over a wavy beat and then features solid verses from both Jimmy and Guwop. You’ll notice, however, that the video does not include any lines from Kendrick, which gives us something to look forward to.
Though there’s little information about the song—even its title is unknown—we do know it’s set appear on Mike WiLL Made-It’s long-awaited Ransom 2 project. The album has been in the works for a minute, but was reportedly delayed last year so the then-incarcerated Gucci could contribute. There’s still no release date for Ransom 2, but it’s expected to drop sometime this year.
